Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using IOHA Daily: the app for iPhone and Android, and the website at iohadaily.com. By using IOHA Daily you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What IOHA Daily is

IOHA Daily is a daily anatomy game and study tool from the Institute of Human Anatomy, LLC (“the Institute”). It is built and operated for the Institute by Targun Tech LLC. In these terms “we” and “us” mean the Institute and Targun Tech; “you” means the person using IOHA Daily.

Everyone gets the same structure each day. The daily game is free. Study Mode adds drills by body system, with one free session a day and unlimited sessions with a Premium subscription.

For learning, not medical advice

IOHA Daily is for education and fun. Nothing in it is medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or other qualified professional. If you have a question about your own health, ask one. We work hard to keep the anatomy accurate, but a model or a fact can still be wrong or simplified; tell us if you spot one.

Your account

• You don't need an account to play the daily game. Without one, your progress stays on your device.
• An account keeps your streak and stats across devices and puts you on the leaderboards. You sign in with a 4-digit code (or a one-tap link) sent to your email; there is no password, so keep your email account secure.
• You must be at least 13 to create an account. One account per person, and only for your own email address.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, contact us.

Playing fair

The leaderboards only work if everyone plays the same game. Please don't:

• use bots, scripts or other automated tools to play, answer, or create accounts;
• try to break, overload, or get around the security or limits of the app, the website or our servers;
• copy, scrape or resell the game's content, except as the model licences below allow.

Display names are public. The name you choose appears on the leaderboards for everyone to see. It must not be offensive, hateful or sexual, impersonate someone, advertise anything, or contain personal details such as an email address or phone number. We may reset any name to a placeholder, remove results that look automated, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Study Mode Premium

Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks unlimited Study Mode. The daily game stays free whether or not you subscribe.

• Price. The price and billing period are shown on the screen before you buy, in your local currency where the store supports it. If a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• Renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. If the price changes, you'll be told before the new price applies, as the store's rules require.
• Cancelling. Cancel where you subscribed. Bought in the iPhone app: in your Apple ID's subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Bought in the Android app: in Google Play, under Payments & subscriptions. Bought on iohadaily.com: with Manage billing on the You tab at iohadaily.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.
• Refunds. Apple and Google handle refunds for subscriptions bought through them, under their own policies; we can't issue those. For subscriptions bought on iohadaily.com, payments are not refundable except where the law requires; if something went wrong with a charge, contact us.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time with Delete account under Account on the You tab. It happens straight away and can't be undone: your account, email address, synced progress, leaderboard entries, notifications and support requests are deleted. A web subscription is cancelled at the same time; an App Store or Google Play subscription is not, so cancel it there first. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is kept and why.

Who owns what

The IOHA name and logo, the Institute's videos, and the rest of IOHA Daily's content and software are owned by the Institute of Human Anatomy, LLC or the people who license them to it, apart from the 3D models, which are covered by the open licences below. We give you a personal, non-commercial right to use IOHA Daily for learning. You're welcome to share your results and screenshots.

Your display name and anything you send us stay yours. You let us show your display name and scores on the leaderboards, and use what you send to support to answer you and improve IOHA Daily.

3D anatomy models

The 3D body is adapted from open-licensed anatomy atlases. Their authors and licences, and a download of the adapted model, are on About & credits. Those licences cover the models only, not the rest of IOHA Daily.

Other services

Videos open on YouTube, where YouTube's terms apply. Purchases are processed by Apple, Google or Stripe under their own terms. On iPhone and iPad, the app is also licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Changes to the service

IOHA Daily is a live game. We may change, add or remove features and content, and the service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If we ever stop offering Premium, we'll stop renewals.

Disclaimers

IOHA Daily is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms: not that it will always be available or error-free, and not that its content is complete or suited to any particular purpose, such as an exam.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, lost profits or a lost streak, and our total liability to you for any claim about IOHA Daily is limited to what you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived, or liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending these terms

You can stop using IOHA Daily and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. The sections on ownership, model attribution, disclaimers and liability continue to apply after that.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update the effective date here. If a change matters, we'll tell account holders in the app before it takes effect. Using IOHA Daily after a change means you accept the new terms.
